In November 2023, the Dcode team convened in Sydney for Laracon, marking a thrilling opportunity for face-to-face interaction and immersion in the dynamic Laravel community.
One of our key takeaways from our time up there was Laravel Pulse which we have since implemented across a range of our projects.
Laravel Pulse is a monitoring tool specifically designed for Laravel applications. It was developed by the Laravel team itself. It provides developers with real-time insights into the performance and health of their applications.
Fundamentally, Pulse provides a thorough dashboard which displays essential metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Laravel applications. These metrics include response times, database queries, HTTP requests and more allowing developers to quickly identify bottlenecks or issues which may be impacting your applications performance.
One of the standout features of Pulse is its seamless integration with Laravel applications. Developers can effortlessly install Pulse into their Laravel projects using Composer, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free setup process. Once installed, Pulse automatically collects and aggregates data from the application, providing developers with actionable insights without any additional configuration required.
It was fantastic for the team to re-group onsite in Sydney and we thank all the organisers and contributors to the conference!
We’re looking forward to Laracon in 2024!
