Make sure you're up to date - Microsoft no longer supports Office 07

Andrew Sirianni
Microsoft has announced that as of October 10th 2017 they will no longer provide technical support, bug fixes or security updates for Microsoft Office 2007. Although it was released 10 years ago, it can be easy enough to forget to update your software and it serves as a good reminder to take a moment to look at the new options available. Here is 3 of them.
The other important reason you need to upgrade is that if you are using Outlook 2007, it will no longer be able to connect to Office 365 mailboxes as of the 31st of October.
If you do need to upgrade, there are a few options available.
- Office 365: A subscription based version of Office with multiple plans depending on what you need. This is the most up to date version of Office
- Office 2016: A one off purchase available on a per license basis
- G Suite: A free, cloud based office suite including Docs (Word), Slides (Powerpoint) and Sheets (Excel) with Online Storage and a custom email address available for $5 a month per user.

The Hidden Cost of Too Many Tools in Your Agency: Why We Built Kanopi
If you're like most software or digital agency owners, your week is spent flipping between Asana, Clockify, Xero, spreadsheets, and Slack, trying to piece together where your team’s time went, what’s been delivered, what still needs quoting, and which invoices are overdue.
You’re doing everything right… but the tools aren’t built for how agencies like yours really operate.
That’s exactly why Kanopi was built. It’s a single platform that connects quoting, task management, time tracking, and invoicing in one clean system, so you can finally see what’s going on in your business without duct-taping data from six different places.
In this article, you’ll learn what Kanopi is, how it’s different to what you’re using now, and how it can help you run a smoother, more profitable agency without overloading your team with yet another system.

From Whiteboards to Workflows: How Modern Scheduling Systems Help Businesses Grow
At Dcode Group, we’ve worked with businesses across construction, trades, wellness, and professional services. And there’s one operational truth they all share: Scheduling people and resources is at the heart of how the business runs.
But despite its importance, scheduling is often handled with whiteboards, spreadsheets, and memory. That might work for a small team - but as complexity grows, that system collapses.
This post explores how we’ve helped clients evolve from chaos to clarity - with scheduling systems that reflect how they actually work, across industries.

Building a Global Team: How One Exceptional Hire Shaped Dcode’s Vietnam Office
For a long time, I was hesitant to talk openly about Dcode's expansion outside of Australia.
There's a perception that international offices - particularly in some regions - are about cutting costs or outsourcing work in ways that compromise quality.
But that’s never been our philosophy.
At Dcode Group, our focus has always been simple: find exceptional people, and build great teams around them - wherever they are.
That's exactly how our Vietnam office began.
